Holli Hearne is a Texas girl, born and raised. At the age of 9, she wrote her first story about a mischievous little boy named Sabwa Faire. Her family and friends loved it. She was officially hooked on writing.

A few years ago, she was invited to watch The Ultimate Fighter finale. Immediately, she thought it would be stupid and too much like pro-wrestling. She was determined to hate the sport of mixed martial arts, but she watched it anyway. After seeing Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar beat the living snot out of each other, she was officially hooked on MMA.

As a Christian and an aspiring writer, she decided what the world really needed was an article about MMA from a Christian perspective. She contacted several fighters and was delightfully surprised when Rich Franklin and Ken Shamrock agreed to interviews. Having no journalistic background, she had no idea what to do but decided to email them a handful of questions and see what would happen. The resulting article was picked up by www.Fighters-of-Faith.com and www.MengusMinistries.com.

Lance Foreman, Shamrock’s fight recruiter, liked the article so much, he invited her to Susanville, CA a few months later to meet Ken and some of the Lion’s Den fighters, where she made some of the best friends a person could have.
